I've spent 15 years finding the real story inside the assignment, first in newsrooms, now for brands.

I started in hard news, first in San Diego, CA then Kearney, NE, then Omaha, then Honolulu, HI. Shootings, storms, police calls, politicians, the 5am traffic hit that had to be right every time. That job teaches you two things fast: how to get a stranger to tell you the truth on camera, and how to make a deadline that doesn't move.

From there I helped build shows from the ground up. I was part of the founding team on Hawaii Now (HI Now), where I learned to produce lifestyle and culture content that never read as an ad, work that earned an Emmy. Helped launch NBC's LX News nationally from Dallas in the middle of a pandemic, building formats in real time with no playbook. Most recently, three years on NBC's California Live in the Bay Area, hosting and producing stories on the businesses and communities that make this state what it is.

Every one of those jobs was the same skill in a different setting: find the story, earn the trust, hit the deadline, make it land.

Today I run that skill set independently as founder of Still Eating Good Media. I'm the director, editor, host, and producer on every project, which means the person you hire is the person doing the work. No hand-offs. 

I build story-driven video for brands, businesses, organizations and nonprofits who want content people actually stop for, not content people scroll past.

I'm open to brand and organizational partnerships through Still Eating Good Media, and select hosting, producing, or content strategy roles where a newsroom-trained storyteller adds something a standard hire doesn't.
